Students gear up for robot contest

Not your typical contest: Mechatronic students at Canterbury University have been hard at work since the beginning of the university year designing  machines for their annual “Robocup”. Brooke Hobson reports.  

UC student paid to race drones

Fourth-year UC mechatronics student Scott Spooner is paid to race drones. He is currently second in New Zealand and will compete in the World Drone Racing champs in Hawaii next year. His drones can also do things other drones can’t. Joel Ineson explains.

UC library prepares for book giveaway
